More "Get Wet" Sets

Lindsey is one of Sweetwater High's finest. Lindsey is the epitome of the girl next door, all American, wholesome high school senior. When Lindsey smiles her whole aura lights up and reflects her warm, personable demeanor.

Lindsey swam competitively for eight years and our new pool/Tiki Island session was another great way to remember her senior year. She had a blast trashing her prom dress.

When Lindsey placed her initial order, we saw some of her sterling attributes. She ordered one of our hottest items----"The Senior Book". When we asked her if she had any quotations or scriptures that she wanted placed in the book, she reached down, picked up her purse and pulled out her well-worn Bible. She thumbed through some earmarked pages and gave us her favorite scriptures.

Lindsey is headed to Waco to be a Baylor bear.

Another "Get Wet" Set

Brittany is one of the Big Country's top flight, premier athletes. She is heading to UTEP with a full ride playing Division I Women's Soccer. Brittany also has a top flight, premier personality to go with her athletic skills. Her hard work, sacrifices and total committment over many years have really paid off and her future appears very bright and full of opportunity.

Hey, this lady runs 2 miles a day and works out with weights between grueling soccer practices. I might add that these practices have required her to drive to Dallas two or three times a week.

She took a little time this week to relax and have fun with our new Tiki Island Set/Pool, "Get Wet" session.

2009 -- Here We Come

Once again, I am apologizing for being absent from this blog so long. However, we just finished an intense, back to back 10 weeks of the 2008 Senior year. Margie and I were so beat we went on vacation last week.

This new season starts next week and we have new locations and a great new photo set. We are offering new specials and a new proofing system.

I am posting a few photos from our first session on our new "Get Wet" Tiki Island set. This is a new session that we will, for the first time, be offering this summer. Get ready to have a blast and have the most unique photos in the Big Country area.

We will also post a series of 2008 Senior shots that we have compiled from the last several months of shooting.

Solid Seniors

Life is getting very crazy and the craziness will continue until the week before graduation.

We shoot a lot of seniors and a lot of them make very lasting impressions. Yesterday, we did a session with one of the more memorable. Emily has a warm, personable, sterling personality. We had a lot of fun with a lot of laughs. Here is an outstanding Cooper High School 2008 senior.

We Are Back

Sorry about the long absence from the blog. We have not only been traveling a lot to photography workshops, but we have both missed almost a week with this nasty flu bug that has gotten around town so much.

I want to thank the many loyal and understanding clients who had to reschedule because of our illness. Margie and I rarely ever get sick; however this was a very potent bug that really knocked both of us for a loop.

We got an opportunity to study under and work with some amazing master photographers during this last month. We came back with some cutting edge ideas that will continue to make our images the most unique styles that you can find in this area.

Spring is almost here and we have wall to wall senior students getting in under the wire for their 2008 senior portraits. We have a few openings this next week and then March is very, very full. If you have not booked a time, call as soon as possible to see if we can squeeze you in.

The new Nikon D3 camera is making some awesome photographs. The depth of the tonal ranges and the shadow detail is as good as you used to see in big format film cameras. I will get some sample images posted this weekend for you to see.

We will soon have an announcement for 2009 Seniors that will be pretty exciting. We are finishing plans for a set to be built at our Elm Valley location that will be one of a kind for this area. I won't reveal the nature of it just yet, but I can assure you that senior girls will love this new outdoor set. Our plan is to have it finished in April. We will keep you posted on the progress of this unique setting.

We decided to discontinue event photography from our business. Dances and banquets are fun and usually interesting. However, we are so busy with our portrait business that we simply want to be able to devote all of our time and interest to our true love in this business. Nothing is more rewarding than creating beautiful and unique portraits of senior students, families, children, babies and models.
